Circa October 2001, John picked up a dark blue Stratocaster and used it during the Room for Squares tour.

From the looks of it, it seems to have been finished in Lake Placid Blue, featuring a mint-green pickguard, and a flamed maple neck with rosewood board.
It also looks like it has a hard tail.
