Jimi Hendrix’s 1950s/60s Fender Duo-Sonic (Sunburst)

Jimi was seen playing this guitar during a few gigs that he did with Curtis Knight in late 1965/early 1966. This guitar was apparently a gift from Knight [Jimi Hendrix Gear, by Michael Heatley, p.48].

It is likely that Jimi pawned this Fender Duo-Sonic sometime prior to leaving for London in late 1966 since the only guitar that he carried with him to the UK was a white Stratocaster.
