Jimi Hendrix’s 1950s Gibson Les Paul Special (TV Yellow)
Brand:
Gibson
Model:
Les Paul Special
Jimi was seen using this guitar on two occasions, one on May 31, 1968, at the Hallenstadion, Zurich, and the other during the studio sessions for South Saturn Delta. Based on the photos, the guitar is a mid-50s Les Paul Special with two pickups, finished in what’s commonly known as TV yellow.

I had the 1968 TV Yellow Les Paul Special that looked exactly like Jimmi’s!
Wasn’t this the guitar that was played on voodoo Chile (the blues version?
Could be, that was recorded in early May if I’m not mistaken? Is there a photo/video of Jimi using this guitar in the studio though? Where did you get that information?
