According to the info available on the Giffin Guitars’ website, Clapton not only had the blue Giffin Stratocaster, but also a green one. Both were built by Roger Giffin as replicas of the Blackie – a 50s “Partcaster” that was Clapton’s main guitar at the time.
Although the blue guitar was seen on numerous occasions in the mid-80s, it seems that Clapton never appeared with the green one. He might’ve given it to someone or simply kept it safe at home.
Eric Clapton played this green guitar on the slide stick track, Motherless Children, on the 1988 Philadelphia scene, and found this appearing in Phil Palmer’s hands in ‘90
If you would like a correct picture of the Green Giffin. I could send it to you. It doesn’t have a white pickguard. And that’s the same neck from the blue one.

Hey Tim. I just checked the only video from 2010 of Eric and BB King that I could find, and it seems that Eric is playing a sonic blue Fender Strat in that one. If you have a link to your video, post it here.
