Eric Clapton’s Guild F-50

Brand: Guild
Model: F-50

Eric Clapton was seen playing this guitar with Cream during the Dutch film “It was a Saturday Night” made in 1968. As far as one can tell from the material available, he only used the guitar during the rehearsals, because the only time it was seen was in a photo taken by Jan Persson (we can’t show the photo here, but it’s available on Getty). All the video material from the movie shows Clapton playing his Gibson SG electric guitar.

Based on the looks, the guitar was an F-50, because the sides are visible on the photo, and it’s obvious that the gutiar had an all-maple body.
