Keith Richards’ Framus 5/98 King Jumbo

Seen on the ABC’s Thank Your Lucky Stars TV pop music show filmed sometime in 1964. Aside from this, it doesn’t seem like Keith ever used this guitar, so the story behind it is unknown. It could be that it was just borrowed for the occasion of recording the show.

Keith was also photographed playing this guitar in the studio, so he certainly used it on more than one occasion. It’s been reported that he donated the guitar to the Framus Museum in Markneukirchen, Germany, though I haven’t seen any photographic evidence to support this claim.
