Tim Henson’s Ibanez TOD10

This is the 2022 Tim Henson signature model by Ibanez, officially revealed on December 1, 2022. The guitar is obviously heavily based on the AZ series, a model which Tim used extensively over the years, and is very familiar with.

The TOD10 features a basswood body finished in silver and a roasted maple neck with an ebony fretboard and custom “Tree of Death” (therefore the “TOD”) inlays. It is equipped with a pair of Fishman Fluence Tim Henson signature series pickups, which are active pickups, meaning they are battery-powered and offer higher output than passive pickups. This is a big change from Tim’s previous signature model, on which he used standard passive pickups.

Also worth pointing out is that with the release of this new signature model, Tim’s old signature Ibanez, the Ibanez THBB10, has been discontinued and you can no longer buy it new.

You can see this is still the prototype TOD10 because the well for the pickup screws is square. In the production model of the TOD10, the well for the pickup is rounded, which is a cleaner look.
