Mark switched to the Strymon Timeline echo/delay pedal around 2024, moving away from the Strymon El Capistan V1. As the main reason for the switch, he explained that he likes being able to store presets in the Timeline, noting that he uses an expression pedal to control more than just repeats in some of those presets, like he did on the Capistan.
These days I use the timeline on stage, and I’ve made some patches where the exp pedal controls more than just the repeats (like varying mix level in realtime).. that’s likely what I’m doing on Cherish the Day.
