Mark Knopfler’s Martin Signature Edition Guitar Pick

Around 2001 Martin released a Signature Edition Mark Knopfler guitar pick, branded as “HD40MK”. HD40MK is, of course, Mark’s signature guitar made by Martin, so perhaps this guitar pick was just something that Martin made to be shipped to the customers together with the guitar, which would make sense since these picks are pretty rare nowadays, and have become collectibles.

Whatever the case, it’s unclear whether Mark ever used these picks (he does use picks occasionally, see this list by MK Guitars – Songs that Mark Knopfler plays with a pick), but it doesn’t hurt to include it here.
