The Mad Professor Supreme is Khn’s second distortion pedal, sitting after the DD-8 delay in the guitar chain. It’s got a smoother, warmer sound than the RAT (Khn’s other distortion pedal) – less aggressive midrange, more open and sustained. He uses it for heavier sections, and sometimes stacks it with the RAT for extra gain.
Mad Professor Supreme is a dual-channel distortion with separate Red and Green modes, switchable by footswitch. The Red side is higher-gain and more saturated, good for leads and thick rhythm parts. The Green side is lower-gain and cleaner, more like a regular overdrive. Each channel has its own gain and tone controls, plus a shared volume knob for the overall output.
