During the most recent European leg of the Unlimited Love tour in 2022, John Frusciante was seen using a Lekato guitar strap with the logo removed, departing from his usual preference for straps by Ernie Ball and Guitar Center/Levy’s. The Lekato strap is known for its moisture-wicking neoprene sponge padding, which helps reduce shoulder fatigue—an especially practical choice for long performances.
It’s also worth noting that John now wears his guitars higher than usual, and this could be influenced by the Lekato strap’s design. Unlike many other straps, it’s not highly adjustable, even at its maximum length, which might explain the shift in his guitar positioning.
