John purchased this 1964 Fender Jaguar on February 26, 1997, at the Guitars R Us store in Hollywood, along with a Gibson L-0 acoustic.
The only known instance of John playing this guitar was during the Nuttstalk tour in mid-1997. It’s believed he sold the guitar before Christmas that same year. John mentioned in an interview that he bought himself another red Jaguar as a Christmas present in 1997, noting it was his only guitar at the time (more details on that here).
Just in case anyone ever buys a 1964 Fender Jaguar with the serial number L22845, searches for it on Google, and ends up here—congratulations on owning a guitar once played by John Frusciante!
