This 1960s Fender Jaguar was spotted in a photo taken at John Frusciante’s home, published by Guitar Player magazine in January 1995.
It’s worth noting that, despite some similarities, this is almost certainly not the same guitar John used in the Under the Bridge video. This Jaguar appears to have a blue finish, specifically Lake Placid Blue, and lacks neck binding, unlike John’s other Jaguar. It also featured a sticker just below the bridge (if you happen to know what this sticker represents, be sure to leave a comment below.
Beyond this photoshoot, the guitar was never seen again, leaving its fate unknown.
The sticker might be the Jane’s Addiction voodoo doll logo used for the promotion of Ritual de lo Habitual.
