Jimmy Page used the black Ovation acoustic doubleneck during the Page & Plant No Quarter: Unledded filming at London Weekend Television’s London Studios, Studio 2, in London. He used it on the song ‘Wonderful One’, which was part of the London studio concert material recorded in front of an invited audience over two nights in August 1994, with the final session dated August 26, 1994.
The practical reason for the guitar is pretty clear: that song needs both 12-string shimmer and a lower/alternate-tuned 6-string part, so a doubleneck lets Page switch without changing instruments.
