James Hetfield’s Gibson EDS-1275 Doubleneck

Brand: Gibson
Model: EDS-1275

This guitar was seen briefly during the music video of “Nothing Else Matters”. It looked completely stock, and James most likely used the 12-string neck to record some of the fills during the chorus of the song.

The guitar is, of course, the exact same model that Jimmy Page famously used on live renditions of “Stairway to Heaven”.

It featured a cherry finish on a mahogany body, it had two mahogany necks with rosewood fretboards with split parallelogram inlays, two separate three-way switches, and two master volume and two master tone controls. The upper neck was a 12-string, while the lower neck was a regular 6-string.
