James Hetfield’s ESP LTD MF-207

James was seen playing the ESP LTD MF-207 in the music video for “Some Kind of Monster” from Metallica’s 2003 album St. Anger.

Some sources suggest that this guitar was initially created as a prototype signature model for James Hetfield, but he ultimately chose not to adopt the design, leading ESP to release it as a limited run for commercial sale. Other sources claim the guitar was actually intended for Kirk Hammett, who already had a similar body style in his signature 6-string model.
