James started using the Dunlop Tortex Triangle 1.0mm picks around the early 90s and the Black Album tour. He usually had them lined up on his mic stand together with his regular Tortex .88mm guitar picks.
However, at this point, it’s unknown for which purpose he used these. They were the exact same picks that Jason used on his bass guitar, so perhaps James tried them out and ended up liking them. In any case, if you happen to know anything, please be sure to leave a comment below.
It doesn’t make any sense why would he use those picks. Those picks were for Jason since all of the band members were walking around the stage. James never used them.
