Zemaitis Guitars
The Zemaitis Guitar brand, owned by the Japanese Kanda Shokai Corporation, is renowned for its unique metal and pearl front guitar designs. Founded by British luthier Tony Zemaitis, who died in 2002, the brand’s guitars are manufactured in Tokyo and distributed globally. Inspired by his observations of Fender guitars, Zemaitis created the metal front design to reduce humming and improve the overall sound quality. His guitars gained popularity among rock artists, with notable players including Ronnie Wood, James Hetfield, and Keith Richards. While Zemaitis passed away in 2002, the demand for his guitars continues to grow, and his legacy lives on through the continued production of his iconic instruments.
