Famous Ovation Breadwinner Guitar Players
The Breadwinner is a solid-body electric guitar produced by Ovation Guitar Company, notable for being one of the few solid-body models they manufactured and the first mass-produced American guitar featuring active electronics. Designed with an ergonomic body shape reminiscent of an axe guitar, it is crafted from mahogany and emphasizes balance and comfort for players.
Early models are equipped with two toroidal single-pole pickups, while later versions feature mini-humbucker pickups, along with a master volume and tone control, a three-way pickup selector, and a notch filter switch for mid-frequency adjustments. The Breadwinner was also among the first guitars to include an active FET preamp.
