The National 1155 is a guitar featuring a body crafted by Gibson, while the neck is made by National. It boasts a solid spruce top, solid mahogany back, and plywood mahogany sides, with X-bracing. The bridge and fretboard are both made of rosewood, but the neck is constructed with a magnesium core and a mahogany shell/veneer, shaped in a medium-bigger C/V profile

The National 1155E was a variation on the National 1155 with an early acoustic pickup built into the fretboard.
