Famous Martin HD-40MK Guitar Players

The Martin HD-40MK is a signature dreadnought model designed in close collaboration with Mark Knopfler, the frontman of Dire Straits. Made in the United States in 2001 (limited run of 251), this guitar features a natural finish and is crafted with high-quality tonewoods, including Indian rosewood for the back and sides and an Alpine spruce top. The ebony fingerboard is adorned with 42-style snowflake inlays, and Mark’s signature is featured between the 19th and 20th frets. The peghead is made of Indian rosewood and is inlaid with a pearl C.F. Martin logo, bound with grained ivoroid.
