Famous Martin D-28 Guitar Players
The Martin D-28 is a dreadnought-style acoustic guitar made by C.F. Martin & Company, known for its large body size and powerful tone. First introduced in 1931, it gained popularity in the 1930s and became a highly sought-after instrument. Early models used rare materials like Brazilian rosewood and featured unique designs such as herringbone inlays, though many of these were discontinued after World War II. Modern D-28s, updated in 2017, feature advanced materials and construction methods like forward-shifted X-bracing, Sitka spruce tops, and CNC-crafted necks.
