Famous Guitarists Who Played the Kramer Pacer
The Kramer Pacer series, produced from 1981 to 1990, included various models like the Pacer Imperial, Special, Standard, Custom, Carrera, The Pacer, Deluxe, Custom I, and Custom II. Notable features include configurations with single or dual humbuckers, or single-coil pickups, and different body finishes. The series saw a reissue in 2010 with the Kramer Pacer Vintage, which featured a humbucker-humbucker setup and a locking tremolo.
Headstocks on the Pacer models evolved from a Fender Stratocaster-like design to the “classic” headstock, followed by the “banana” or “hockey-stick” shape, and finally a “pointy” profile. Early tremolos included ESP Guitars Flicker or Rockinger, with Floyd Rose systems becoming standard by 1984.
