Famous Guitarists Who Played the Ibanez Talman
The Talman series, produced by Hoshino Gakki under the Ibanez brand, was first introduced in 1994. Inspired by vintage guitars like Fender Telecasters and Danelectros, the Talman featured a body shape reminiscent of the Telecaster and often included single-coil pickups, including lipstick-style pickups made famous by Danelectro. The Talman was marketed as a versatile, no-frills guitar aimed at alternative rock guitarists of the 1990s. After being discontinued in 1998, the series saw periodic revivals, including signature models for Paul Gilbert and Noodles Wasserman of The Offspring. The series experienced a solid-body revival in 2015, although most Talman solid-body models were discontinued by 2018. In 2020, new Talman signature models were released for Noodles and Yvette Young, along with the TM730 model in Japan.
