Famous Ibanez Iceman Guitar Players

Hoshino Gakki began exporting copies of American guitars in the 1950s, but by the mid-1970s, their Ibanez guitars had achieved quality comparable to American models. Due to lower labor costs, Ibanez guitars were much cheaper than Gibson or Fender models. In the mid-70s, Hoshino Gakki aimed to create an original Japanese guitar design, leading to the Iceman (or Mirage in Japan), launched in 1975. Paul Stanley of KISS popularized the Iceman, developing his signature PS10 model in 1977.
