Famous Ibanez 2387 Guitar Players
The Ibanez 2387, introduced in 1972, is a solid-body electric guitar produced in Japan by FujiGen. Part of the Rocket Roll series, it features a V-shaped body similar to the Gibson Flying V, with a solid mahogany construction. It has a bolt-on mahogany neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard and pearloid dot markers.
The 2387 is equipped with a Tune-o-matic style fixed bridge, a stop tailpiece, and uncovered Ibanez humbucking pickups. The guitar’s controls include two volume knobs, a master tone knob, and a three-way toggle pickup selector. It was initially offered with Ibanez Hi-Power pickups, later replaced by Super 70 pickups in 1976. The guitar is finished in Cherry and includes chrome hardware and a white/black/white pickguard.
