Hofner Guitars
Höfner was founded by Karl Höfner in 1887 in Schönbach, and it quickly became the largest string instrument maker in the region. After World War II, Höfner relocated to West Germany, settling in Bubenreuth. The company grew significantly, gaining international fame when Paul McCartney made the 500/1 bass iconic. Known for its craftsmanship, especially in hollow-body and archtop guitars, Höfner remains a favorite among jazz and classical musicians for its rich sound and quality.
