Famous Guitarists Who Played the Gretsch Corvette
The Gretsch Corvette, introduced in 1961, features a solid mahogany body and neck, with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. Initially, it had a 3×3 headstock and was available in various configurations, including single and double pickup models (model codes 6132, 6133, 6134, and 6135). In 1964, the headstock design changed to a 2×4 configuration. The guitar is equipped with Gretsch’s single-coil Hi-Lo’tron pickups, and its electronics include a master volume and tone pots. The neck profile is a medium C shape, with a scale length of 24 1/2″, a nut width of 1-11/16″, and thickness measurements of 0.89″ at the 1st fret and 0.99″ at the 12th fret.
