The Gibson SG Junior is a solid-bodied electric guitar produced from the early 1960s to the early 1970s, designed as a more affordable alternative to the Les Paul Junior. Initially branded as the “Les Paul Junior,” the name was changed to SG Junior in 1963 when the Les Paul branding was removed.

The SG Junior features a single P-90 treble pickup and a wrap-around bridge, differing from the two-piece setup found on the SG Standard. From 1966 to 1971, it had a generic SG pickguard and a soapbar P90 pickup instead of the original dog-ear style. The model was discontinued in 1971.

It was succeeded by the SG 100 in late 1971 and then the SG I in late 1972, both of which had different configurations and were discontinued by 1974. Gibson reissued the late 1960s version between 1999 and 2001, and a version resembling its early 1960s design was released from 2011 to 2015.
