Famous Baldwin Burns Double Six Guitar Players
The Burns Double Six, introduced in 1964, was a 12-string version of the Hank Marvin guitar (model 524), designed by Ormston Burns Ltd. It featured an offset double-cutaway alder body, sycamore maple neck, and three slanted Tri-Sonic pickups. Unlike the Marvin model, which had a vibrato tailpiece, the Double Six used an adjustable bar bridge with a covered stop tailpiece. Offered in green or red sunburst finishes, it became part of the Baldwin guitar line after Baldwin acquired Burns in 1965.
