The Silvertone 1457, produced between 1964 and 1967, was a solid body electric guitar with a double cutaway design, made by Danelectro and sold under Sears’ in-house Silvertone brand. It featured two lipstick pickups, dot inlays, a six-on-a-side headstock, and was marketed to beginner guitarists. A key feature of the 1457 was its amp-in-case setup, which included an 8-inch speaker, three tubes, a tube rectifier, and controls for gain, tone, and tremolo.
