The Mosrite Mark V is a solid-body electric guitar introduced in the mid-1960s as a smaller and lower-cost member of Mosrite’s Ventures-era guitar line. Early examples were sold as the Ventures Mark V while Mosrite still had its licensing agreement with The Ventures, but after that agreement ended around 1967-1968, later versions were generally identified simply as the Mark V. The guitar used a compact offset double-cutaway body, bolt-on neck, slim Mosrite fingerboard, two single-coil pickups, volume and tone controls, and Mosrite vibrato hardware on many examples. A small number of Mark V-style guitars were also made with a Gospel logo on the headstock; Gospel was a secondary Moseley/Mosrite-related brand label, not a separate model.
