The TOD10N, introduced by Ibanez in late 2022, is the first signature acoustic model for American guitarist Tim Henson. This acoustic-electric guitar features a thin FRH hollow body with a shape reminiscent of the FR series or a Fender Telecaster. It has a solid Sitka spruce top with fan bracing, sapele back and sides, and pearloid binding on both the top and back. The guitar’s unique design includes a C-shaped nyatoh neck, a slotted headstock, and a walnut fretboard with pearloid binding and “Tree of Death” thorned vine and rose inlays. It lacks a traditional sound hole, instead having a small port for the truss rod and an oval sound port near the upper horn.
The TOD10N is equipped with a Fishman Sonicore under-saddle pickup and an Ibanez AEQ210TF preamp with an onboard tuner, powered by a 9-volt battery and connected via a ¼” output jack. It features a compensated bone saddle in a walnut bridge, a 46mm wide bone nut, nylon strings, and gold classical-style tuners.
