Aria Pro II is a brand name used by Aria, the Japanese musical instrument company founded by Shiro Arai. The Aria name was used broadly across the company’s instruments, while Aria Pro II became the main branding for many of its electric guitars and basses from the mid-1970s onward. Many well-known Aria Pro II models, including the PE, SB, RS, and Cardinal Series guitars, were made in Japan by Matsumoku during the late 1970s and 1980s. In practice, Aria Pro II is not a separate company from Aria, but a specific electric-guitar brand line used by Aria.
