Eddie used this guitar live in the mid-to-late 1970s, and later used it to record the slide parts on “Dirty Movies” from Fair Warning. For that recording, he modified the guitar by cutting off the treble-side horn, because it prevented him from reaching the higher notes with the slide.
The guitar remained with the family after Eddie’s passing, and his son, Wolfgang, used it on his album Mammoth II, released in 2023.
