Angus Young’s Marshall JMP 2203 Master Volume

There’s no shortage of videos online showing AC/DC using Marshall JMP 2203 Master Volume amps—they were an integral part of the band’s sound during their early years. In fact, Angus leaned heavily on these amps for most of AC/DC’s albums recorded between 1977 and 1983.

Planning to dig deeper into this gear yourself? Here’s a handy tip: you can easily tell the difference between a Master Volume (MV) and a Non-Master Volume (NMV) amp by counting the input holes. NMVs have four input holes, while MVs are equipped with just two.
