Angus Young briefly played a red Hagstrom H-II-N in 1975, using it as a temporary replacement while his Gibson SG was being repaired. He was photographed playing it onstage at AC/DC’s December 24, 1975 show at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion.
Since the guitar is essentially Hagstrom’s take on an SG – featuring the characteristic SG horns and their own interpretation of the “Batwing” pickguard – it’s no surprise that Angus would at least want to give it a try.
